Q: I logged to my control panel and can't find the link to stats or mail

Q: I forgot my password. Can you provide it?

We provide all the passwords you need in a letter at the completion of your website design. If you do not have that letter then for security purposes you will have to email or fax your request. We compare the number or the email to the records we have for your company to ensure you are authorised to request your passwords.


Q: Why can’t I find my website in Google?

Please read our detailed information about the Google Search Engine. We make no guarantees about where you will be ranked in search engines like Google, however we can help you submit your keywords for the first time. If you require further help with Internet Marketing we can recommend an expert who can help you.


Q: How do I edit my website?

We provide all the passwords you need to edit your website with programs of your choice in a letter at the completion of your website design.

You may choose to have the browser based editor installed once your website is complete. Please contact one of our staff members who can arrange this for you.

Alternatively we are happy to complete any changes you may require and can provide you with a quote or estimation before beginning work.

Q: The editor says it is loading the wysiwyg editor. How can I fix this?

This can be resolved by the following steps: Log into Snipper Master -> Click 'Admin' -> Click 'General' -> Find 'Enable editor compression' -> Check 'No'-> Click 'Save' at the bottom of the page.


Q: I have the right password, but my FTP program is timing out or not connecting

You will need an FTP Program to edit your website with the details we have provided. If you do not know what an FTP program is you should consider asking us to enable the browser based editor.

Ensure that PASV mode (passive mode) is not switched on. We have found that in some cases you must manually turn off this setting in order for some FTP programs to function. We use and recommend Core FTP.


Q: How do I check my email?

We provide all the passwords you need in a letter at the completion of your website design if you have requested that emails be setup with Bakas IT Solutions. You will need to set up your email account with an email client. We have provided step by step instructions for Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express. We also provide access to webmail if you are travelling or connect from more than one computer.

Q: Why isn't my website loading?

Ensure you are typing your domain name into the "address bar" and not into google as your website may not be indexed yet.
Can you access other websites such as google? If you cannot access any websites ensure your internet is connected properly or contact your ISP.
If you can see other websites, but cannot load your own website ensure your domain has not expired. Click to check your domain and ensure the "status" says "OK" and does not say "Server Hold (Expired)". If you do not see any results double check your domain name, but it may have been expired for over 1 month.

Q: What is my domain name?

We include your domain name with the letter containing your usernames and passwords which we posted to you at the completion of your website design.
